Alicia Chan

Hip Hop

Alicia has been a dedicated member of Marquis Dance Academy, where she has competed in various competitions and developed a strong passion for hip-hop and jazz-funk. Her training at the studio allowed her to compete with multiple groups and assist in classes, enriching her experience as both a dancer and mentor.

As a member of the hip-hop crew HG5, Alicia performs at local events and showcases, continuing to hone her skills and connect with the community. One of her proudest moments was performing at Canada’s Got Talent in Niagara Falls in 2022 with Marquis’ Elite Hip Hop team, under the mentorship of Damien Lavergne.

Alicia’s passion for teaching began when she choreographed for younger students at St. John’s Ravenscourt School and hosted dance workshops across Winnipeg. She sees dance as an incredible outlet for creativity and self-expression, and is excited to inspire and guide the next generation of dancers at Marquis.
