Liane Prenovault

Jazz

Dance has been an integral part of Liane Prenovault’s life since she was 5. She has trained in all styles in ballet, jazz, tap, contemporary, lyrical and hip hop. Through hard work and dedication, Liane became known as one of Winnipeg’s top dancers receiving several scholarships in the process. This lead her to travel to Los Angeles to study under the Triple Threat Industry Training program. She was also awarded a Paris Tour scholarship which she attended. As a competitive dancer, Liane competed and medaled at World’s competitions in Orlando and New York, and attended Nationals in Vancouver. She has also danced in various hip hop crews that travelled to Chicago and Vancouver for hip hop competitions, as well as to Toronto to compete for the World Of Dance. At the World of Dance competition, her

crew placed 1st overall in Chicago. Locally, Liane was also part of Bad Kids hip hop team which also won top crew at In the Zone.

Liane has taught advanced and elite level students in various dance styles for over 10 years. She was also a full time student in the senior professional program at the School of Contemporary Dancers. Professionally, Liane was one of two dancers across Canada that was selected by the Triple Threat Dance convention to receive a direct contract to work on Princess Cruise Lines as a professional dancer. Liane was promoted to Assistant Company Performance manager. After 4 years of travelling and dancing around the world, she moved to Toronto. There, Liane trained and worked in the dance industry. This includes back-up dancing for international recording artists such as La Bouche, Haddaway and Mark Morrison.

Having moved back eventually to Winnipeg, Liane went to school and completed a degree in marketing. She also decided to start teaching dance again. Having come to the conclusion that dance will always be in her soul, she came to develop a greater love and passion for Jazz in particular. Liane is excited to join the teaching faculty of Marquis, and she is looking forward to work on the technique and conditioning of students, and to nurture the passion of our aspiring dancers.
