Miss Kristina
Kristina Lavergne
Hip Hop
Since a very young age, Kristina has trained extensively to develop into the very well-rounded dancer that she is today. She has trained in ballet, pointe, hip hop, jazz and lyrical, modern and contemporary through the Intensive Program at Marquis. She has competed in all major competitions in Winnipeg and at various Nationals in Quebec and Florida. She has also competed in the reputable ‘Artists Emerge’ Hip Hop dance competition in both Edmonton and Vancouver. In Poland, Kristina was selected to be part of Team Canada competing at the IDO World Ballet and Modern championships, where her group came back home with a World Championship Gold medal. Kristina’s strength and control as a dancer earned her scholarships at the Nuvo and Jump dance conventions and at the Canadian National Dance Championships. With her contemporary group, she placed second at the World of Dance competition in Winnipeg, which was later chosen to audition for the ‘World of Dance’ TV show in New York City.
Kristina is currently studying at the University of Winnipeg post-secondary joint dance program with the School of Contemporary Dancers. She started teaching at Marquis in 2018, and has gained various teaching experience in Hip Hop, Jazz, Acro and Contemporary. She is excited to continue sharing her passion of dance with her students!
