Shayna-Lynn has been dancing since she was 2 years old, and since the age of 8 she has been competing in many different styles including ballet, pointe, tap, jazz, lyrical, contemporary, musical theatre, modern, and hip hop. Competing in dance has brought her to perform in many cities across Canada and in the United States, and even being invited to represent her country on Team Canada in Germany, tap dancing! She has taken an extensive amount of conventions and had the opportunity to take classes from many notable choreographers in the industry including Travis Wall, Sonya Tayeh, Mark Meismer, Stacey Tookey, and Ian Eastwood.

Shay has studied extensively in the technical dance genres, having achieved her advanced 2 Ballet exam through the Cecchetti Society of Canada, fully completed all of her Jazz examinations through the A.D.A.P.T. syllabus, and fully completed all of her Tap examinations through the Al Gilbert Method. Miss Shay is also a fully certified Arco teacher with the Acrobatic Arts syllabus. Miss Shay is a very versatile teacher, and loves seeing the improvement in her students as they grow and learn! She is excited to pass on her passion and love of dance to the young dancers here at Marquis.
